CourtLoom was built because the family law system shouldn't have a paywall.

Every year, hundreds of thousands of Californians face family law issues — divorce, custody disputes, restraining orders, support modifications. Most of them can't afford an attorney. Many don't speak English as a first language. Almost none of them went to law school.

The existing options are not good enough. Online "divorce services" charge $159 or more to fill out a handful of forms for uncontested cases only. If your case is contested — if there's a disagreement about custody, support, or property — they can't help you at all. And they haven't meaningfully improved their technology in over a decade.

CourtLoom is different. Our workflows were developed in collaboration with practicing California Certified Family Law Specialists. We use AI to guide you through every form, explain every field in plain language, and format your documents for your specific county courthouse. We support contested and uncontested matters. We work in English and Spanish. And we don't charge you for it.
